AKC's Canine College offers multiple free and low cost courses to help aid in the education of Breeders, Exhibitors, and Judges.
OFA is the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals. OFA is known widely for it's readings of hip and elbow xrays to reduce dysplasia, however offer much more than that for heath testing. They also have an open access database where breeders can list their health clearances for a fee.
UC Davis is an option for purchasing health tests for your dogs. They offer JADD, DM, CP1, CLPS, Buff, CDDY, CLAM, and CDMC in both a toller package and individually. Additionally, they offer prcd-pra, which is the form of PRA that tollers carry.
GenSol is another lab for health testing for North American breeders. They currently carry most published NSDTR tests.
PawPrint is another lab for health testing for North American breeders. They currently carry most published NSDTR tests.
Laboklin is the lab of choice for European Breeders, carrying most published tests, however they currently are the only ones to carry CDMA - a new test for a lethal gene found in European lines. It is currently unknown how prevalent this gene is in the US.
The American Kennel Club is the registry our club was formed under, and all of our events are AKC licensed. Visit their website to learn more about individual sports and shows.
Canada is the birthplace of the Toller. The CKC offers most of the events AKC does and a lot of our members compete up in Canada to dual title their dogs.
The United Kennel Club is one of the Kennel Clubs that tollers used to compete in prior to AKC acceptance, along with ARBA. ARBA isn't active much anymore, but UKC is still very active and many of our members still compete here.
HRC is UKC's Retriever Hunt Program - any retrieving breed can compete, including poodles. This is a great club for anyone who likes to do field with their toller.
The NSDTRC-USA is AKC's Parent Club for the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever.
The NSDTR Club of Canada is CKC's Parent Club for the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. They also have a regional club in ON that holds yearly specialties.
