CODE OF ETHICS

Intro

Below are the Code of Ethics. Be sure to read them thoroughly before applying for membership. By applying, you are agreeing to abide by the Code of Ethics.

Code of Ethics

 

  1. I will commit myself to upholding the by-laws and code of ethics of the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever Club of New England (NSDTRC-NE).
  2. I will commit myself to furthering the mission statement of NSDTRC-NE.
  3. I will commit myself to the AKC Approved breed standard for the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever and consult it when making all breeding decisions.
  4. I will commit myself to the AKC Code of Sportsmanship and will refrain from unsportsmanlike conduct, both spoken and written, about people and their dogs.
  5. I will commit to continuing education about all aspects of the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever; including but not limited to health, genetics, structure, temperament, and training.
  6. I will be responsible for all puppies produced for the life of the puppy, and will not knowingly sell to irresponsible breeders and brokers.
